Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

In July 2004 BSAR were honored to receive this prestigious award in recognition of our work within the community.

Three members travelled to St James' Palace to meet the Queen, and the award was formally presented to all members at a ceremony in Aylesbury by the Lord Lieutenant for Buckinghamshire, Sir Nigel Mobbs.

Sir Nigel said: "I could not have recommended this wonderful group of people highly enough. Neither the police nor the emergency services in Buckinghamshire could operate effectively without their help in some situations."
